Man beats side chick in oral sex feud
A dreadlocked man was slapped with a $30,000 fine or six months in prison after he pleaded guilty to beating his 'side chick' allegedly because she told him to perform oral sex while she was seeing her period.
Clive Nelson, who operates a cell phone repair shop, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm, when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court yesterday.
He told presiding judge Chester Crooks that he and the complainant were in a "hide and seek" relationship behind his wife's back.
"She [the complainant] come to me house and she keep on leaving things fi me woman find it. Me see her on the road and explain to her that she can't do that," Nelson said.
After receiving permission to repeat what the complainant told him, he said: "She tell me fi come **** out under her when she a bleed. Me get upset and me punch her."
However, the prosecution said the complainant visited Nelson's shop to get her phone repaired, and the two began communicating until a romantic relationship eventually developed.
The complainant reported that Nelson wanted her to perform oral sex on him, but she did not want to engage in the act, so the relationship eventually deteriorated.
It is alleged that when the complainant later visited Nelson's shop to collect her phone, he told her that he sold it, further causing tension between the two.
A dispute ensued in which he punched her in her face, causing pain and swelling.
Upon hearing the allegations, the judge asked why Nelson was not also charged with simple larceny.
However, the investigating officer explained that the complainant is not pressing that charge.
