Two killed in Old Harbour
An ex-policeman was one of two persons killed within an hour in Old Harbour, St Catherine, yesterday.
The deceased are Kevaughn Francis, otherwise called JJ, and Warren Smith, a former member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Reports are that about 12:30 p.m., explosions were heard along Burke Road. Later, checks revealed Smith's body lying in a pool of blood.
While police personnel were at that scene, they were called to another section of Burke Road, where Francis' body was seen with multiple chop wounds.
It is believed that the second killing was an act of reprisal for Smith's death.
The police have launched an investigation into both matters and are searching for those responsible.
