This year's Augus' Mawnin Market is expected to see reasonably priced, fresh produce on sale in the Independence Village at the National Stadium.

The market will be held on Emancipation Day to allow patrons to experience 'Curry come Uptown; as part of Jamaica 55 celebrations.

"This genuine, Jamaican shopping experience will see the Independence Village transformed into a vibrant marketplace, showcasing the rich offerings of Jamaica's farmers," said Stephen Davidson, director of marketing and public relations at the Jamaica Cultural Develop-ment Commission.

"In addition to the fresh produce, the market will also have breakfast on sale and live entertainment to keep patrons busy while they shop."
