Cops probe shocking murder of mother who sought help after child died
Neisha Butler, the mother of the Portmore schoolgirl who died under mysterious circumstances last March, has been murdered.
The Greater Portmore Police told THE STAR that they were summoned to an area near the Hellshire Beach on Tuesday evening where Neisha’s body was discovered with multiple stab wounds.
The police said that her husband, Stephen Butler, is now being sought for questioning.
The Butlers came to national attention last year after THE STAR broke the story about the tragic death of their daughter, Kemeisha.
Kemeisha,8, a former student of Port Henderson Primary School, died at the Bustamante Hospital For Children on March 8, 2016. Her parents claimed that her death was linked to punishment which she got at school. The Office of the Children’s Advocate and the education ministry have since launched probes into the matter.
In this April, 2016 photo, Neisha Butler and her husband, Stephen, speak about the loss of their daughter, Kemeisha.
