Loader man gunned down in Spanish Town

Commuters, public passenger vehicle operators, vendors and other persons in Spanish Town were forced to run for cover after two armed men opened fire on a man.

According to police reports, at approximately 8:20 a.m. yesterday, 25-year-old Dwayne Berry, otherwise called Biggs, a loader man of Vernon Drive in Spanish Town, St Catherine, was shot and killed by unknown assailants on Morrison Street in Spanish Town.

It is said that he was standing along the roadway when he was approached by two men armed with guns, who opened fire hitting him before making their escape.

"A taxi me a come out of and me hear the shot dem and me see di people dem a run come towards me. So, me just tek weh mi self quickly," one alleged eyewitness said.

"Me know him good. Every time me go a Spain, me see him and him always inna him church hat a load bus. Mi neva hear him inna nothing wid nobody, not even raise him voice," she continued.
