Deputy Commissioner of Police Novelette Grant said the police are gathering information surrounding a video that has been circulating online of a female member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) venting about being unfairly pressured by an officer of a higher rank at the station at which she works.

"It is somebody who seems to be in great distress based on the video and we are collecting all the facts," Grant said.

Grant said the superintendent and the assistant commissioner at the station have been contacted to find out what exactly led to the outburst from the officer.

"The senior persons on the ground there were given instructions to find out exactly what happened, and to ensure that the distressed member gets access to the medical services that we have in the JCF," she told THE STAR.
