Police use yellow tape to block off the entrance to the Kingston Mall in downtown Kingston during their investigation into a murder-suicide in 2016. A security guard had reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend at the scene before killing himself.

Two unidentified males were shot and killed during a confrontation with the police at Sugarman's Beach Club in Hellshire, St Catherine, on Tuesday.

Two firearms and several rounds of ammunitions were seized during the incident.

They are both of dark complexion, slim build and about 173 centimetres (5 feet, 8 inches) long.

Reports from the Hellshire police are that 11:30 p.m., a team of officers was on special operation in the area, when they entered the building and saw two men armed with guns.

On seeing the police, the men opened gunfire at them. The police took evasive action and returned gunfire. One .45 pistol and an Intratec sub-machine gun along with eight 9mm rounds of ammunition were seized.
