A St Catherine woman who allegedly kept her brother who was wanted by the police was freed of harbouring a fugitive.

She is Sasha-Gaye Daley of Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Allegations are that in 2016, police personnel held her brother, Aston 'Daley Bwoy' Daley, near her residence.

He was charged with being a member of a criminal gang.

When Daley appeared before parish judge Tara Reid-Carr on Tuesday, she told the accused that she concurred with attorney-at-law Sheldon Campbell that there was no case to answer.

The judge agreed that the police failed to confirm whether clothing inside the home of the accused belonged to the fugitive.

Daley was then told she was free to go.
