The usually peaceful community of Brown's Hall, St Catherine, was startled by a drive-by shooting which left two of its members suffering from gunshot wounds yesterday.

According to a report from the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, around 10 a.m., a motor vehicle drove up in front of a bar. A man alighted from the car and opened fire at the establishment, hitting a man and a woman.

Both persons were rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, but the man, Romain Moving, a 27-year-old labourer from the Brown's Hall district in St Catherine, died from his injuries.
