Two men held with cocaine

The Narcotics police arrested two men for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act in Clarendon last Monday.

Reports are that at about 10:30 p.m., Narcotics detectives were conducting anti-narcotics operations in the parish, when they intercepted a white Toyota Probox in the vicinity of the May Pen toll plaza with two men aboard. The vehicle and both men were searched, and cocaine weighing approximately half of a kilogram was found under the dashboard of the car. The drug has an estimated street value of $640,000.

Both men are expected to be charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trafficking cocaine, possession of criminal property, and conspiracy.

Investigation continues.
