October 30 by-election date announced
Clad in a candy striped shirt, green pants and sneakers, Prime Minister Andrew Holness recounted that he was positive about a Norman Dunn victory in the February 2016 General Elections.
Holness, who told party supporters in Annotto Bay last night that Dunn is the right man to become Member of Parliament (MP) for South East St Mary, pointed out the candidate has paid his dues.
South East St Mary has been without an MP since Dr Winston Green's sudden passing in August.
"Dunn is competent and willing to serve," Holness said.
But high on the agenda was the by-election, which Holness said will take place on October 30. Nominations will take place on October 9.
Holness noted that on October 30, there will also be by-elections for two other seats South West St Andrew and South St Andrew which are also vacant.
Norman Dunn will be going up against Dr Shane Alexis.
