Upgrade for Haughton Grove School
The Haughton Grove Early Childhood Institution in Hanover is one of three rural basic schools that has been ‘adopted’ under the Sagicor Foundation Adopt A School Programme for the 2017-2018 academic school year.
Haughton Grove as well as A.M.E. Basic School in Clarendon, and D’Frank Early Childhood Institution in Manchester, will benefit from infrastructural repairs and upgrade.
“We take supporting education initiatives seriously and is the only company with an education programme that spans from the basic school to tertiary level. Certainly, in the future, we are looking forward to seeing the little ones in our Sagicor Scholarship programme,” Christopher Zacca, president and CEO of Sagicor Group Jamaica, said.
"I am so excited to see the improvements to be done at the schools as I know it will mean so much to the principals, the teachers, the children, and of course the parents," Zacca added.
