Four men arrested for illegal firearm

Detectives attached to the Mobile Reserve and Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime divisions arrested and charged four men for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition on Orange Street in Kingston on Monday.

The men are believed to be part of the Clansman gang.

Charged are: Dwayne Frater, 34, a higgler of Fairview Avenue, Spanish Town, St Catherine; Rolondo Hall, 27, labourer of Phoenix Park, Portmore, St Catherine; Lamar Rowe, 21, mason of Lime Tree Grove, Spanish Town, St Catherine; and Sunmon McFarlane, 23, farmer of Capture Land, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 2:30 p.m., a blue Honda Odyssey motor car in which the men were travelling was stopped. The car, along with its occupants, was searched and two Glock pistols and thirty-six 9mm rounds of ammunition were found. The men were subsequently arrested and charged.

They are scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Gun Court on November 14.
