Maizie Lawrence, the acting principal at Salt Spring Primary School, accepts some of the gift items from Omoi Green, the branch manager of PROVEN, Montego Bay. They are surrounded by the children, who will be the main beneficiaries of the gifts.

Salt Spring Primary School in St James got something to smile about recently when the staff and students got a surprise visit from Omoi Green, branch manager for PROVEN Wealth Limited, Montego Bay branch.

Green brought with him gifts which are intended to support the efforts of the school's parent-teacher association (PTA).

"We are excited to support and bolster the efforts of the school's PTA as they continue to defy the odds and produce credible results. Providing much-needed tools will go a far way to motivate the students who need them," said Green.

"The school is filled with promising, gifted and bright students," read a statement from PROVEN. "Additionally, the school excels in extra-curricular competitions such as football and 4-H Club, and have also done well in the Gleaner's Children's Own Spelling Bee."
