Two more illegal guns are off the streets, following seizures in separate incidents on Monday. In the first incident, the Constant Spring police were conducting a search on Whitehall Avenue when a man was observed running after dropping a bag.

The bag was retrieved and the firearm was found inside. Investigators said the gun was assembled using parts from different weapons.

In the second incident, the Bridgeport police in St Catherine seized a submachine gun during an operation on Port Henderson Road in the parish. Reports are that at about 3:15 p.m., an operation was being conducted at the fishing village when two men fled from a house. The house was subsequently searched and a Mac-11 submachine gun loaded with five 9mm rounds of ammunition was seized.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizures.
