British national to face court on cocaine charges

Tracyston Mallory, a resident of a London, England, is scheduled to appear in the St James Parish Court on drug charges today.

Mallory, 31, is accused of seeking to smuggle $2 million worth of cocaine out of the country.

Reports are that about 2 p.m., Tuesday, Mallory was at the security checkpoint to board a flight destined to Brussels, Belgium when his luggage was searched and 37 parcels of cocaine weighing 1.18 kg was found concealed in a false compartment.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and attempting to export cocaine.
