Blind man stabbed after knocking over eggs

A blind man is now battling for life after he was stabbed by a vendor in downtown Kingston because he accidentally knocked over a tray of eggs.

The man, 58-year-old Clive Mullings of an East Street address, was said to be in serious condition up to press time last night. The police said that the vendor is on the run.

According to reports, at approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday Mullings was walking through the Coronation Market when he accidentally knocked over the  tray of eggs. An argument developed between him and the vendor during which the vendor used a piece of board to hit  Mullings before stabbing him.
