Western Jamaica's fast-growing WESTERN STAR had its official launch at Sam Sharpe Square in Montego Bay last week, with scores of persons turning out to participate in fun and games.

Those who gathered weren't too shy, enjoying competitions that tested their singing, modelling,

patois-reading, and fitness abilities.

There were prizes and surprises, as well as entertainment galore from the WESTERN STAR dancers and several local acts, with Wesley 'Burgerman' Burger and Markland 'Action' Edwards taking on hosting duties.
