Vox Pop: Do you think Montego Bay will be flooded again if there are heavy rains?
With Jamaica being only a couple of months away from the hurricane season, Western STAR took to the streets to ask: Do you think Montego Bay will be flooded again if there are heavy rains?
Dahlia Frazer, sales representative: "Given that there has not been any major infrastructural undertaking in Montego Bay in recent months, a repeat of the heavy rains can only yield one result, and that is further flooding just like the last time and even worse."
Tameka Brown, customer experience associate: "I believe that Montego Bay will be flooded once again because our Government does not try and fix problems until they happen more than once or when people start to complain."
Junior Jones, construction worker: "I think Montego Bay will flood again because the authorities did previous works, and the city still flood out. If the people don't stop throwing garbage in the road and gully, and if the St James Municipal Corporation doesn't do regular cleaning of the drains, then flooding will continue.
