Man forges cop's signature
A Kingston man forged the signature of a policeman in order to give the impression that he had reported to the police station as a condition of his bail.
When the matter was called up in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court last Friday, Keron Reid pleaded guilty to forgery.
"Your Honour, he knew what he did was wrong. He was very sick and did it only once and sought to explain to the police on the next reporting day," his attorney told the court.
The court heard that the officer whose signature was forged did not show up for work on the day in question.
Reid is to return to court on June 27 for sentencing. He was granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
