Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 91-year-old woman and her 15-year-old grandson in Hanover on Wednesday.

The two men were picked up during an operation in Lucea about 2 a.m. yesterday. Their names are being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports from the Lucea police are that at about 9 p.m., the teen Jessie Spence and another relative were in their yard at Malcolm Heights in Hanover when they were pounced upon by four armed men who opened fire at them.

The WEEKEND STAR understands that the elderly woman, Doris Frame, who was inside on her bed was sprayed with bullets after the men kicked down her door.

The police were called to the scene where Spence was seen lying in the yard and Frame on her bed.

They were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The third person who was at the house when the incident occurred escaped without harm.

The police surmise the murders are a result of an ongoing gang feud in the community and have named three persons of interest.

They are: Howard McIntosh, otherwise called 'Zill'; Nickoy McKenzie, otherwise called 'Nick'; and Ricardo Bird, otherwise called 'Whiteman' and 'Birdie'.
