MoBay woman arrested for lottery scamming
After being found in possession of a laptop and notebooks with identity information belonging to foreigners, 25-year-old Janice Brown was charged by members of the Lottery Scam Taskforce in Leader Avenue, Montego Bay, St James, on Wednesday.
She has been charged with possession of identity information and possession of an access device.
Reports are that during a special operation between the hours of 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m., Brown’s premises was searched. The search yielded one black laptop and three notebooks which contained identity information of persons living overseas.
Brown was subsequently arrested and charged.
A court date will be announced at a later date.
