After remixing their favourite Christmas carols, three women were rewarded by Digicel and STAR for their good work last Friday. The winners Keeana Senior (left), Najay Langley (second left), and Joseka Christian (right) share a laugh with Monique McLeod, Digicel's marketing director, Nashauna Lalah, Gleaner's entertainment editor, and Elon Parkinson, public relations and communications manager at Digicel.

Three women who dared to remix their favourite Christmas carols were last Friday rewarded for their spirited performances in the STAR/Digicel Christmas promotion.

Persons were asked to remix their favourite Christmas carol and upload a one-minute video to Instagram.

Day one winner Keeana Senior; day two winner Najay Langley; and day three winner Joseka Christian were presented with their prizes last Friday.

Having uploaded videos that got the most votes on the days they entered the competition, they each won a DL2 smartphone, a 28-day Nuff Social Plan ($3,000 value) and $1,000 prepaid credit.

Senior, a journalism student at the University of the West Indies, is glad she entered the competition.

GREAT OPPORTUNITY

"I was motivated to enter because the phone I had was malfunctioning and I saw the competition as a great opportunity to replace it for the Christmas," said Senior.

"My friend first told me about the competition, and as soon as I heard, I literally just freestyled a remixed carol and posted it. The comments were crazy, and the 'grammers' loved it."

Elon Parkinson, public relations and communications manager at Digicel, said that the competition is about helping to make Christmas merry and bright for Jamaicans.

"These first three winners now join over 20,000 winners so far in our Gift of More Nuff Winnin' Nuff Givin' Christmas promotion, where 45,000 customers will win $30 million in cash and prizes," Parkinson said.

"Using their new LTE-ready smartphones, they'll now be able to experience super fast mobile data speeds on Jamaica's biggest data network. This makes us that much happier to have made the season bright for all our winners. As always, we enjoy working with the team at THE STAR to bring exciting and engaging competitions like this for readers to enjoy and participate."

The two other winners of the five-day Christmas blitz will be presented with their prizes later this week.

Michelle Jordine was the winner on day four, while the day five winner will be selected at the end of today's competition. Contestants must tag @thejamaicastar and @digiceljamaica and hashtag #StarDigicelXmas on each video in order to qualify.
