Police commissioner replaces woodcarver's tools
Shelton Blake, of Bellrock in Kingston 11, was highly appreciative of the carving tools he received from Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson on Tuesday, January 15.
Blake, who is a victim of a fire that destroyed four houses in his community on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, made a public appeal during a television interview for assistance to replace his tools.
His appeal was heard by Major General Anderson, who handed over the new tools to him in a brief ceremony at the Hunts Bay Police Station.
"I am feeling very good today to have my tools replaced. When I made the appeal I never imagined this would happen and I am very grateful," a grateful Blake said.
He said he is currently trying to put his life back together and the tools will go a far way in rebuilding his life through his skills as a woodcarver.
