Fyffes Pen Primary gets new classrooms
When the new school year starts in September, students of Fyffes Pen Primary School in St Elizabeth will find three new, large classrooms to help boost their learning.
Along with an office and a staff washroom, the classrooms were recently handed over by Food For The Poor and Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation.
"This new school will provide children with a safer environment to foster learning and will build capacity for the entire community. Food For The Poor Canada is honoured to work with our partners, donors and volunteers towards our mandate of empowering communities across Jamaica, the Caribbean and Latin America," said Samantha Mahfood, executive director of Food For The Poor Canada at the handover ceremony.
