63 new COVID cases, 25 more persons recover

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has reported that of the 653 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 63 returned positive results. This brings the total confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded in Jamaica to 10,151 with 4,343 of them active.

Of the new cases, 30 are male and 33 are female.

No new deaths were recorded, however one death is under investigation, increasing the tally of deaths being investigated to 34.

Meanwhile, 25 more persons have recovered, pushing that total to 5,432.

Some 87 persons are in hospital with 22 being moderately, and 12 critically ill.

Four persons are in government quarantine, while 20,099 are currently quarantined at home.
