111 in hospital, 68 new cases, two more COVID deaths

Jamaica on Tuesday recorded three COVID-19 deaths, increasing the death tally to 331.

The deceased are a 58 year-old female from Kingston & St. Andrew, and a  48 year-old female from St. Mary.

Meanwhile of  the 905 samples tested in Jamaica in the last 24 hours, 68 have tested positive for COVID-19, pushing total confirmed cases to 14,487 with 2,210 being active.

Of the new cases, 29 are males and 39 are females, with ages ranging from 2 years to 76 years.

In the meantime, there were 34 more recoveries, increasing the total to 11,777.

Some 111 persons are in hospital with 14 being moderately and nine critically ill.

According to the Ministry of Health, 22 persons are in government quarantine, while 22,021 are quarantined at home.
