Clarendon man arrested in connection with cocaine bust

A Clarendon man has been arrested following the seizure of a quantity of cocaine along Joe Walters Street, Kemps Hill in the parish on Saturday, February 20.

Police reports are that about 3:30 p.m., cops were on operations in the area when a white Honda Civic motorcar was intercepted.

The vehicle was subsequently searched, and a bag containing what police say is about two pounds of cocaine, was allegedly found under the passenger seat.

The driver of the motor vehicle was taken into custody, and the motor vehicle seized.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
