TPDco to host COVID resensitisation workshops
The Tourism Product Development Company (TPDco) has embarked on a series of workshops to resensitise players in the tourism sector about COVID-19 health and safety protocols and to encourage greater take-up of the vaccines.
The sessions, being conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, commenced on February 17 in Montego Bay, St James, and will continue over eight days, culminating on March 31. The two-hour sessions will be held in face-to-face format in all resort areas across the island.
Upcoming workshops will he held on Wednesday, February 23, at Rayon Hotel, Negril, Westmoreland; Friday, February 25, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre; Tuesday, March 3, at Breds Sports Park, Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth; Tuesday, March 8, at Golf View Hotel in Manchester; Tuesday, March 15, at the St John's Anglican Church Hall in Ocho Rios, St Ann; Thursday, March 17, at Hotel Tim Bamboo, Portland; and Thursday, March 31, at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in St Andrew.
Training Manager for the TPDCo's western region, Megan Mollison, told JIS News that the sessions will focus on the established COVID-19 operational protocols, among other safety measures for workers, and training and assessment.
