11-y-o autistic boy missing for a month
Dave Coley has had sleepless nights since his 11-year-old son Christopher, who is a person with autism, went missing on October 5.
Christopher hails from Central Village in St Catherine and his father is seeking the public's assistance in getting him safely home.
"Mi a tell yuh di truth, it shake mi up a whole lot, mi lose all a whole heap a weight. Is the only child for me and him mother. Whole heap a prayer a go out fi him safe return. We really miss him, enuh, because him is a loving little boy. Mi just want him come home back," Coley said.
Reports from the Central Village police are that about noon, Christopher was last seen at home wearing a yellow shirt and grey shorts. He is of dark complexion, slim build and is about five feet tall.
Coley said because of his autism, Christopher is unable to speak and has difficulty communicating with anyone who is not familiar with his situation.
"He doesn't talk but he will make sounds. He was at home with his aunt and him end up get missing. We do a search around the community and we can't find him. We haven't seen or heard anything from him. This is the first time him ever disappear but sometimes him would wander up the lane. But people always see him and carry him back," he said.
"Perhaps him go somewhere and can't find back him way or probably somebody find him and take him, especially because him don't know how to talk and declare himself. A one cute little bwoy. Mi just a beg Jamaica to help mi find him because we can't go on without him," Coley said.
