Police investigate suspected suicide in St Catherine

The police in St Catherine are investigating a case of suspected suicide after a man was found dead in his motor vehicle in Shady Grove, in the Parish on Tuesday.

He has been identified as 55-year-old Fredrick Grant, a marketer of Rosemont Drive, Linstead, in St Catherine.  

According to reports from the Shady Grove Police, about 8:25 p.m., information led them to a section of the Worthy Park cane field.

The body of Grant was seen in the driver's seat with the head slumped over the steering wheel with a gunshot wound to the mouth— a firearm was also found beside the body.

The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue. Investigation Continues.
