Negril taximan slapped with gun charges
The police in Negirl say they have arrested and charged 20-year-old David Kennedy, after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a man, and threatened to kill him.
Kennedy, otherwise called ‘Brown Man’, is a taxi operator from Whitehall, in Negril, Westmoreland.
He was charged with assault at common law and possession of a prohibited weapon.
According to police reports, about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the male complainant was at his home, when Kennedy approached and pointed a firearm at him and threatened to kill him.
In fear of his life, the man ran from his house to the police station, where he made a report.
On Wednesday, Kennedy was arrested and charged after being pointed out to the police.
His court date is being finalised.
