Wins for UWI, JPS in table tennis club league

Three Division Two matches were played on Thursday as the Institute of Sports/Table Tennis Jamaica national table tennis club league

JPS blanked hosts Duhaney Park 5-0, Supersonic B drubbed visitors Blue Diamond All-Stars 4-1 and hosts UWI edged Swallowfield Chapel Smashers

3-2.

In individual results in the JPS/ Duhaney Park encounter, Anthony Logan turned Gary Catnott 3-1, Keith Garvey eased past Cordell Atkinson 3-0, Cecile McCormack cruised past Miguel Sterling 3-0 and Kemar Thomas got by Nicholas Green 3-1 in singles match wins for JPS. Logan and Garvey overwhelmed Sterling and Green 3-0 in doubles to complete the 5-0 triumph for JPS.

In the Supersonic B versus Blue Diamond duel, Shenique Clare and Dujaun Jackson scored easy 3-0 victories over Dovonna Hyman and Nicholas Morrison, respectively, and Marlon Alberts won by default in singles match, wins for Supersonic B.

In doubles Jackson and Jordan Campbell outplayed Morrison and, Patrick Gabbidon 3-1 for the fourth win for Supersonic B.

Gabbidon trounced Jelani Barnaby

3-0 to pull one back for Blue Diamond.

In the UWI/Swallowfield contest, Kordel Powell eased past Andrew Girod 3-0, Oshane Panton overcame Loren Lee 3-1 and Navron Henry outlasted Patrick Donaldson 3-2 for UWI's third victories.

Donaldson and Giovanni Maxwell outscored Powell and Sandra Riettie 3-1 in doubles; and Winston Johnson got by Jason Welsh 3-1 in singles for Swallowfield's two consolation triumphs.
