Newly promoted Portmore United began the second round of the Red Stripe Premier League football competition the way they began the first round with victory over Montego Bay United.

The team handed former champions MoBay a 1-0 defeat at the Juici Patties Oval in Clarendon, thanks to a 54th-minute strike from Cleon Price.

Harbour View registered a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Boys' Town at the Barbican Playing field, with all three goals coming in the first half.

The hosts opened the scoring through a Raffique Thomas first-minute strike. Eight minutes later, Claudius Blackburn levelled the score for Harbour View. Georgino James scored the winner in the 14th minute.

Leon Strickland's lone goal in the 62nd minute handed Arnett Gardens a 1-0 win over the University of the West Indies (UWI) FC at the UWI Bowl, and Rivoli and Waterhouse played to a 1-1 draw. Waterhouse's goal was an own goal.

Lenworth Pine evened things up for Rivoli in the 27th minute. Humble Lion and Reno FC's match ended 0-0 yesterday.

Tonight, Cavalier will entertain Tivoli Gardens at Stadium East in the Monday-night encounter starting at 8:40 p.m.
