Tivoli Gardens and Portmore United emerged on the winning side of yesterday's major derby matches in the Red Stripe Premier League football competition as round-two action continued.

At the Edward Seaga Sports Complex in Kingston, the hosts Tivoli Gardens defeated Boys' Town 2-1 in the west Kingston derby.

Miguel Ricketts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for the hosts and Peter Keyes drew the Red Brigade level in the 66nd.

However, former Jamaica College standout Junior Flemmings, who leaves for college in the United States in a few weeks, gave Tivoli the edge in the 81st.

Meanwhile, Portmore United also beat their parish rivals Rivoli United 3-2 in the St Catherine derby played at Drax Hall in St Ann.

Kenny Lee scored an own goal in the 11th to put Portmore ahead, a lead they built on in the 33rd minute, thanks to a Stephen Williams strike.

Corey Burke pulled one back for Rivoli in the 61st minute before Kambuji McCalla's 75th minute goal put Portmore 3-1 ahead.

Jeremy Nelson scored a late goal in stoppage time, but it was not enough.

Montego Bay United were unable to capitalise on home advantage and were held to a 0-0 draw by UWI at Wespow Park.

Andre Leslie and Kacey Bromfield shared all four goals as Reno and Waterhouse played to another drawn encounter at the Waterhouse Mini-Stadium.

Leslie opened the scoring for Waterhouse in the 20th and scored his second in the 36th, while Bromfield notched his goals in the 42nd and 90th minutes. At Arnett, Cavalier lost 0-2.
