Alex Marshall plots revenge
Having been knocked out of previous competitions by Wolmer's Boys, St George's College's (StGC) ace forward, Alex Marshall, is plotting a revenge and hoping to have the last laugh when both teams meet in today's ISSA-FLOW Walker Cup final at the Stadium East field.
According to 17-year-old Marshall, who has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season, he is looking forward to beating Wolmer's most of all.
"From I was a little boy, coming up from Under-16, they (Wolmer's) have always knocked me out of competitions, so I want to repay the favour this time," he told STAR Sports.
With the Walker Cup trophy up for grabs today, both schools will be hoping to end their season on a high with another Walker Cup which would put StGC on 10 and Wolmer's five.
"All I do is just go out there and make use of the opportunity and score. I don't know how much I will get (goals this season), it's up to God," Marshall said.
The player said he is eyeing a total of 30 goals this season and the Wolmer's defence will no doubt have its work cut out to try and contain the wily Marshall.
