Ja's Laing goes to Minnesota
Jamaican international Lance Laing has signed with Minnesota United FC in the North American Soccer League (NASL).
Laing, 27, has played in every NASL season since the modern-era league formed in 2011, and is the only player to be named to the NASL Best XI three times, a release from the league said.
The speedy left-footed playmaker has been the
driving force for FC Edmonton the past three seasons.
The Trelawny-born player has made several appearances for the Reggae Boyz.
After an impressive run with the Under-17 team, Laing made his first senior team appearance in 2008 against El Salvador. He was a member of the Jamaica squad which featured in this year's Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup, helping Jamaica to a historic second-place finish behind Mexico.
Laing began his professional career in 2007 at Harbour View FC then moved to Village United after three seasons.
