Patrick clears the air
Coach Anthony Patrick confirmed to STAR Sports yesterday that he is still at Waterhouse as an assistant to new man Paul Young.
Patrick who returned to Waterhouse as interim coach of the Red Stripe Premier League outfit, following the resignation of Calvert Fitzgerald, is also in charge of the struggling club's youth programme.
"I was playing an interim role until Paul Young came in. Now he is at the club, I am his assistant and also in charge of the youth programme," Patrick told STAR Sports.
Waterhouse remain at the foot of the table on 14 points from 17 games. Young was on the sidelines for Sunday's 2-2 draw with Tivoli Gardens and Patrick is hopeful that they will start winning soon.
"It will take self-discipline from players. He (Young) has stressed that. We are trying to get the players to concentrate for the entire game. With five games remaining in the second round, the aim is to win those games then enter the third and final preliminary round in an improved position and take it from there," Patrick added.
Waterhouse will next play Cavalier SC at Stadium East on Sunday at 5 p.m.
