Second best no good for Portmore

January 09, 2016

DESPITE trailing Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) front runners Montego Bay United on goal difference, Portmore United technical director Andre Waugh believes second best is not an option.

The four-time national champions are aiming to win everything.

Portmore are among heavyweight teams such as Harbour View FC, Arnett Gardens FC, Montego Bay United, for which Waugh says he maintains respect for, but wants to beat to the top spot.

"We like to look on the big picture which is just winning the league and Caribbean Football Union title," he told STAR Sports.

"One of the things that helped us to come back up quickly is that we maintained an under 21 programme and were playing in the St Catherine major league and stuck with that crop of players we now have," he said.
