PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC):

Title-holders Trinidad and Tobago Red Force made light work of ICC Americas, crushing them by nine wickets in their fifth round contest of the Regional Super50 yesterday.

The unbeaten hosts sent the Americas side crashing for just 81 all out off 16 overs and then aggressively overhauled their small target in a mere 12.5 overs at Queen's Park Oval.

Barbadian opener Kyle Hope blasted 40 off 27 balls with seven fours and a six while Kjorn Ottley stroked an unbeaten 24 off 37 deliveries with three fours and a six.

They posted an exhilarating 59 off 56 balls for the first wicket.

Leg-spinner Imran Khan had earlier taken four for 24 and left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein (2-9) and seamer Rayad Emrit (2-24) got two wickets apiece, as ICC Americas struggled after winning the toss and opting to bat.

Only middle order batsman Srimantha Wijeyeratne with 30 and number eight Timroy Allen, with 22, reached double figures as wickets fell steadily.
