Montego Bay United (MBU) are well set to deliver a series of great results that will see them win Group Three of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Championships, declared owner Orville Powell, while making a pitch for the fans to give the players elevated support when the competition gets underway this evening.

MBU will open the group matches against Scholars International of Cayman in an 8 o'clock kick off at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.

"Coach Paul Davis, the players and everyone associated with MBU are making sure that we are ready not just as hosts of this group, but ready to perform at our utmost best," Powell said.

"We believe that our twelfth man, our supporters and fans should come out this evening in their numbers to cheer on the team, as we go about bringing further glory our city," he added.

MBU are seeking to join Jamaica's other entrants, Arnett Gardens FC, in the next round of the competition.

Arnett Gardens won their group last week in the Dominican Republic.

Powell told STAR Sports that he believes his players will deliver a master class performance to open the group.

"We have a coach who knows football and knows how to get the best out of his players, " he said.

Matches will continue on Friday with Central FC playing Scholars, while on Sunday, hosts MBU tackle Central. All matches start at 8 p.m.
