Hydel for Day Two lead

Hydel High's Semoy Hemmings winning her Class One 400 metres heat in 54.53 seconds at the National Stadium yesterday.

LAST year's second place team, Hydel High are favoured to be on top in the points among the girls after today's second day of the ISSA-GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Championships at the National Stadium.

Three finals will be contested today - shot put Class Two, discus Class One and 2000m steeplechase open.

Excelsior High's Shanice Love in the Class One discus, Vere Technical's Avery Pryce in the shot put Class Two and Edwin Allen High's Jeima Davis in the 2000m steeplechase are the favourites for gold.

Hydel are tipped to be on 24 points and should be followed by Vere 18, Edwin Allen High 16, Excelsior High 15 and Holmwood Technical on eight.
