This one's for 'Mike' - Wolfe
Humble Lion FC's captain Wolry Wolfe says that his team is highly motivated to win the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) 2015-16 title for the club's chairman, Lester 'Mike' Henry.
The Clarendon-based Humble Lion are in pole position for a spot in the RSPL final following a 2-1-first leg semi-final triumph over regular season champions Portmore United last Sunday at the Effortville Community Centre in May Pen.
Now, with one foot in the final, Wolfe is very confident that the team will move on to the final after the second leg against Portmore next Monday night at 8:40 p.m. at the Anthony Spaulding Complex in Trench Town.
"Mr Henry has played a big part in the rise of Humble Lion after taking over several years ago. We reached the semi-finals last season but lost, and now we are back in the last four, so the focus is on lifting the trophy for him," Wolfe told STAR Sports during the RSPL weekly press conference yesterday at Red Stripe Lounge, Spanish Town Road.
"He (Henry) has always given support to the team, and it would be nice to win the title for Mr Henry," the former Portmore United midfielder said.
Although Humble Lion only need to avoid defeat in order to advance to the final, Wolfe pointed out that the game plan remains the same as in the home game.
"The game is the same. We need to win, so the approach will be a 0-0 one," the former Jonathan Grant High star added.
"We are working hard in training and can't wait until Monday night. The fans were excited after the game on Sunday evening, and they will be out in full force in the next game at Arnett's venue," Wolfe said.
