All set for Eastern Confed semi-finals

All four semi-finalists in the Charley's JB rum Eastern Confederation Super League competition have been decided following Sunday's second-leg quarter-final matches.

Early qualifiers Brazil have been joined by another St Ann team, Volvo, along with Portland outfits, Manchioneal and St George's.

Both semi-finals will be parish derbys as Manchioneal are set to take on St George's, while Brazil will entertain Volvo.

At Gray's Inn on Sunday, Volvo defeated the home team 3-0, overturning a 2-1 defeat in the first-leg to take the tie 4-1 on aggregate. Manchioneal who were beaten 3-0 in their first-leg meeting away to York FC, rebounded at home with a 4-0 win over their opponents for a 4-3 aggregate win.

At Lynch Park, St George's walked out easy 4-0 winners over Axum, following up their 1-0 win in the first-leg for a comprehensive 5-0 aggregate victory

Sunday's three qualifiers join Brazil in the last Four. On Saturday, Brazil drew 0-0 with Baptiste Alliance in their first-leg before edging their opponent 2-1 in the return fixture for the 2-1 aggregate victory.

The semi-finals at scheduled for next Sunday. The winners of the league will represent the confed in the National Premier League play-offs, which is set to begin in a few weeks.
