Boys' Town FC walked away with the top awards at the Alliance Finance/McKay Security Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Under-20 competition at the Altamont Court Hotel in New Kingston, last Tuesday night.

Boys' Town were rewarded $50,000 and the championship trophy following a 1-0 victory over Waterhouse in the final.

Waterhouse earned $40,000, while Harbour View and Arnett Gardens FC received $30,000 and $20,000 for third and fourth place, respectively.

Boys' Town also captured the Coach of the Year award, Omar Edwards and Manager of the Year, Derrick Upfield.

Andre Leslie, who netted nine times, won the award for leading goalscorer. The Fair Play award was presented to Pembroke Hall FC. The referee awards went to Malica Reid, Keeble Williams, Yanique Jarrett and Richard Mitchell.

KSAFA president, Stewart Stephenson says that the Corporate Area competition continues to serve as exposure for talent, especially in the national age group level.

"This competition also provided an opportunity for the coaches of Jamaica's national Under-20 team, Ricardo 'Bibi' Gardner and Altimont Butler, to view our talented players in KSAFA as they prepared the team for the Caribbean Football Union Qualifiers which were played in the Dominican Republic and ended with Jamaica's elimination from the competition," Stephenson said.

"I must express some disappointment that KSAFA was not able to have more selectees in the final squad. The KSAFA Under-20 competition winners Boys' Town had one selectee and beaten finalist Waterhouse FC had two selectees," he disclosed.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in the competition were televised on TVJ and TVJSN.

The KSAFA head also expressed appreciation to title sponsors Alliance Finance and McKay Security for their continued support of the KSAFA competition and the leadership.
