While maintaining belief his abilities will win matches for HERO Motocorp Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 franchise Jamaica Tallawahs, all-rounder, Nkrumah Bonner is hopes to successfully compete for his place in the squad.

The 27-year-old Jamaican has played one game for the Tallawahs in which he failed to score and bowled 0 for 19 runs off two overs.

"My goal is actually to win games, when you win games you turn a different level of player. I just don't want to be a person who contributes a bit. I want to win games for my team so whenever that opportunity presents itself I will try grab it with both hands," Bonner said.

Overall, he has scored 657 T20 runs.

"My goal is basically to be a match winner. I haven't got a lot of opportunity but I would say I have got enough opportunity to prove myself," he told STAR Sports.

Bonner says he is looking to secure his place in the Tallawahs team.

"This year obviously is a new year, probably new roles, on the make-up of the team I just have to play the situation and try to perform wherever and whenever I get the chance, I just have to make it count and try to do a good job for my team," he continued.

He played three matches last year, and will be looking for roles with bat and ball, this season.

"I've prepared well I've put in the hard work, I've done everything physically. I've done everything physically, spiritually, mentally going into this tournament so I will do my best," said the cricketer.
