Intense Super Cup final expected - Redwood

Carlo Redwood, Flow's vice-president of marketing and TV is anticipating an intense battle for this year's Inter-Secondary School Sports Association/ Flow Super Cup and $1 million winning incentive when Wolmer's and Cornwall College square-off in the final at Sabina Park, Kingston tomorrow. Match time is 6 p.m.

The game brings together Manning Cup team Wolmer's versus daCosta Cup team Cornwall College. Since, the prestigious competition started in 2014, this is the first time that it will be a Town vs Country showdown.

"I think that from football fans and support, the FLOW Super Cup continues to grow. The dynamics continue to change as it is the first time that three daCosta Cup teams were in the semi-final. Now, the final is between a Manning Cup and daCosta Cup teams," Redwood told STAR Sports yesterday.

"This final has established it as a national schoolboy competition, it is a balance having a town versus country final. We want to continue to improve and make the competition bigger and better each year. We are satisfied but will work harder," he added.

Redwood and his company are bracing for a massive crowd support like in the past two years.

"We are expecting a massive crowd from western Jamaica as the tickets sales there is doing well. It is a heavy ticket sales already from fans as well as Corporate support,' Redwood disclosed.

"It will be a really tough game between the best team from the Manning Cup and the best team from the daCosta Cup," he also said.

The game apart, there will be the usual entertainment package during the half-time break.

"Everybody knows that we will put on an entertainment value. Expected the unexpected as we won't disclose the entertainers as yet," Red wood concluded.
