Big cash prizes for Reggae Marathon winners

Running off and running at a previous staging of Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K in Negril.

The 16th staging of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K is all set for this Saturday in Long Bay, Negril and over $1,000,000 cash is at stake with the winners of the male and female marathon event set to walk away with $75,000.

The second-place finisher will earn $50,000, while $25,000 will go to third place. Also at stake are the Bob and Rita Marley Trophies to the top finishers.

In addition, there will be six computers to be handed out to the top high-school males and females.

Three will be given to the team placed first, two for second place, and one for the third.

There will be added incentive for all contestants as any athlete who breaks a course record will see their cash prize doubled.

To qualify, the athlete must be a Jamaican national. No participant will leave empty-handed this weekend as all finishers will receive a commemorative medal, along with certificates of participation.
