Barbados Pride defeated Jamaica Scorpions by one wicket in a thrilling day/night 14th match of the Regional Super50 at Kensington Oval in Barbados last night.

The Barbadians, chasing a target of 191, lost half their wickets for under 100 but aggressive lower-order batting by wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich (40) and pacer Kemar Roach (23) and Ashley Nurse (21 not out) saw them over the line with two overs to spare.

Earlier the Scorpions failed to bat out their allotted overs and were dismissed for 190 in 45.3 overs.

Rovman Powell 74, Jermaine Blackwood 40 and Damion Jacobs 31 were the leading batsmen for the Scorpions. Captain Jason Holder 3-28 and Kemar Roach 3-58 took most wickets for the Pride.

Home team Pride were reeling at 100 for six and eight for 143 before they were rescued by Dowrich and Roach. Bowling for the Scorpions, Jerome Taylor took three for 39, John Campbell two for 33 and Reynard Leveridge two for 38.
