MIAMI (CMC):

California's Levi's Stadium has been named to host the final of this July's CONCACAF Gold Cup, the confederation announced yesterday.

The venue, located in Santa Clara, will be one of 14 venues across 13 cities to host matches in the biennial July 7-26 tournament.

Levi's Stadium, which played host to the opening game of last year's historic Copa America Centenario, will now host the final of the confederation final on July 26.

"Levi's Stadium has quickly earned a place among America's top stadiums in terms of atmosphere, amenities and fan experience," said CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani.

Jamaica's Reggae Boyz head the list of Caribbean sides for the Gold Cup, with Curacao, French Guiana, and Martinique also having qualified.

French nation Haiti face Nicaragua in a playoff next month to determine the final spot in the 12-nation showpiece.

Two years ago, Jamaica were good enough to reach the final of the competition before losing to eventual champions Mexico.
